‘Sensory Processing – What’s the Fuss?’ is the flagship sensory processing disorder course at GriffinOT. This online sensory processing training aims to explain why everyone must give a fuss about sensory processing disorder! We know that it’s often difficult to take time out or travel to courses, which is why we have taken our training online. This online sensory processing training course allows you to study in your own time, at your own pace, whether at home or work. We hope this flexibility enables all parents and teachers to access the training. The GriffinOT website resources on sensory issues are designed to complement the training.
What does the online sensory processing training cover?
The online Sensory Processing Disorder training helps you understand what Sensory Processing Disorder is, and how sensory processing challenges affect children day to day. The training teaches you why the senses are important for children’s learning and how they affect children’s behaviour and interactions. This course covers an introduction to sensory processing disorder and the seven senses. We cover what sensory processing is and how the senses support learning and function. We also briefly introduce sensory discrimination, dyspraxia, and sensory modulation. This course is only an introduction and it does not provide ideas or strategies on how to support children or adults with Sensory Processing Disorder.
