GriffinOT specialises in sensory processing and motor skill development. The supports in our training can be used with all individuals, whether they have a diagnosis or not. We assume no knowledge, so our training is perfect for beginners and those with experience who want to increase their knowledge.
Our sensory training is designed for those who want to understand the senses and the impact they have on learning and participation. We offer a free introduction and longer paid courses. All are delivered online and presented by Kim. The training includes a mix of face to camera delivery, animations and pictures.
The training is designed to help you to identify sensory differences at school and home. It helps you to understand why you might see certain behaviours. Most importantly, we provide tips and strategies that you can use when supporting individuals with sensory processing differences.
Our fine motor skills programme is designed to help children from as young as 18 months. It helps educators and parent to understand fine motor skill development. There are 160+ activities that they can then use to help their children to improve their skills.
There is the option to just purchase the education section and to purchase individual levels as required. The education covers posture, scissor skills, pencil grasp and handwriting. There’s also supports for self care skills like buttons and using cutlery.
Write Rules & Supporting Pencil Grasp Development help children to develop functional handwriting and pencil control. The programme helps adults to understand the developmental steps required before holding a pencil and handwriting development. It includes songs, worksheets, stories and movement that can be used to help children to improve their pencil control and handwriting.
